The Brief
This established interiors company needed a rebrand to elevate brand perception and reflect the quality of their custom made furniture and holistic interior design approach. The brand needed to appeal to design savvy, social media inspired homeowners wanting to make a sound investment in quality custom fitted furniture. The brand needed to reflect the warmth of home, the joy of engaging with the creative, design service and the exacting technical standards of the furniture design and build process.
A brand James Mayor is proud to put their name to
Seeking to personalise the brand mark and leverage the established name we developed handwritten initials which feel written by a creative but exacting hand with a positive upward looping trajectory. These are surrounded by 'the frame' device which is an abstract representation of the home or of the fitted furniture that James Mayor specialise in.
We really enjoyed working with Huskii to explore our branding and delve into the brand DNA to find something unique that could be deciphered graphically.
Adding a human touch
To add another human touch we developed a custom drawn icon set. Balancing the clean crisp lines and accuracy of the frame element with the personal hand drawn icons emphasises the personal and creative design service that clients can expect from James Mayor Home.
Inspired by interior designers
Inspired by interior design swatch moodboards we crafted a subtle layered aesthetic using the frame, stamp logo, colour blocks and photography.
Martine really understood our brief and we feel the new logo raises the bar significantly in terms of how we are perceived by our target market.
